A Blue-ti-ful Roadtrip

My import from Wix did not finish working here, please check back soon for the rest of this post!
Norway was a country I did not expect to be so beautiful. I had no idea that waterfalls would be flowing off of every cliff, that lush green valleys would give way to snow covered mountains, or that glaciers were so blue. I choose to go to Norway because I got a great deal on Iceland Air flights, it was on our list of places we wanted to visit, and looking back it has been one of my favorites of the year.
In order to see the glacier, we had to drive almost 600 miles around the country, through forests, cities, mountains, farms, through dozens of tunnels and even took a car ferry over the fjords. It was unlike any other trip we ever planned, and not everything went as we planned along the way.

A Blue-ti-ful Roadtrip

The forecast called for rain every day, with heavy cloud cover, I was initially dismayed at this idea, and upon landing in Oslo it was pouring rain and cloudy the entire first day we were here. We drove from Oslo to our first stop along the way Lærdal Ferie- og Fritidspark Hotel on the Sognefjellet Fjord.
We drove almost 200 miles out of Oslo and into the countryside. I was initially impressed with how populated the area was. I expected it to be quite rural, and not to see many houses and cars once outside the city, however it was quite busy, lots of cars, a little bit of traffic here and there. Once we were several hours outside of Oslo the population dwindled and sometimes we drove for a long stretch without seeing a home, especially when driving through the mountains.
